Last month, Beauty, Fashion, and Culture Editors gathered virtually for some pre-Golden Globes fun in an exclusive beauty experience hosted by Award-winning Actress and Singer Tichina Arnold (The Neighborhood, Everybody Hates Chris, Martin). The setting was casual, relaxed, and filled with girlfriend vibes.
The engaging and interactive experience started out with a warm welcome from Tichina, and her publicist Lana Walker followed by a fun “getting to know you” beauty question from Lana where each invited guest had a chance to respond to “What is the one makeup must-have that you must do for Zoom meetings? A highlight moment was when our Editor in Chief Shawn responded that her makeup must-have is foundation due to her face’s uneven skin tone including underneath her eyes, and Tichina recommended she try Murad’s Vitamin C Dark Circle Correcting Eye Serum.
To add to all the fun, two specially invited surprise guests, SAG-AFTRA president Gabrielle Carteris (Beverly Hills 90210) and Beth Behrs (CBS – The Neighborhood) dropped in to support their friend Tichina and participated in our “getting to know you” roundtable on the spot questions. Both ladies were so gracious as they fondly reflected on their personal relationships with Tichina using words like honest, truthful and a quality human being to describe her.
One of the most fun moments was the box unveiling. Prior to the event, giftees received a large gold gift box with their name embossed on top and tied with a fashionable ribbon, not to be opened until the day of the event. Everyone was so excited to open their gift boxes together discovering all the cool products from amazing brands.
Next, guests enjoyed a special performance by Tichina’s daughter Alijah Kai, whose singing voice is just as amazing as her mom’s. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a special celebratory toast of bubbly courtesy of Vara Winery and Distillery, a gift box sponsor.
As everyone expressed their thanks and said their goodbyes before signing off, the wonderful takeaway from this dynamic experience was that Tichina’s Beauty Bar was an amazing way to bring women together to connect in spirit, beauty, laughter, fun and shared truths.
