I love the part of my job where I get to try new products, write about them and share my experience with readers. As I get older, I find that I am more concerned about the types of products I use on my skin, especially my face. So I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Miracle Skin Transformer’s SPF 20, a multi-cultural and multi-functional skincare moisturizing formula that works to hydrate, protect and enhance skin. There’s also a body lotion formula that leaves a soft glow to your skin all year round. The best part to both of these products is that they contain natural silicone and have slightly tinted color selections for all skin tones. As an African American woman I was a little concerned about selecting the right tint, because it can be challenging at times to find the right products (other than those made specifically for women of color) that match and blend in well with our skin tones. Here’s what I chose and how it worked out…
I tried the Miracle Skin Transformer SPF 20 in DARK shade and I couldn’t believe how perfectly it matched my skin tone. You only need to smooth a pearl- sized amount onto your face using your fingertips. It felt so soft and silky as I put it on. I could literally see the discolorations in my skin transform into more smooth, even tones with a silky matte finish. The coverage was so great that I almost felt as if I didn’t need to use foundation or even a concealer. It lasted all day long, so needless to say, I will definitely continue using!
The Miracle Skin Transformer Body SPF 20 Rocks! The Bronze Enhancer (medium to dark) glided over my arms and legs like silk, and once again like with the facial moisturizer, the tint blended very well with my skin tone. Another cool discovery was the very light, glowing and shimmery shine it left on my skin. And to top it all off it provides sun protection, excellent!
Lip Savvy was a spicy addition to my makeup bag. It’s a get this… anti-aging, plumping lip gloss with long-lasting color and shine. I’m not too concerned with anti-aging ingredients nor with plumping effects, but I do love a good lip gloss that shines! and a gloss with color is even better! It’s cute and fun and will never get lost in your handbag especially with its wild and colorful selections of lip pens (I have the zebra print). The gloss even has a nice fruity smell; I love it when my lips smell sweet. It’s a cool looking product with 22 shades (I’m using OMG) and two different textures to flatter any skin tone. At first it was a little confusing for me on how to get the color onto the brush, but once I figured it out it worked just fine. The color is inside the pen and there’s a small brush at the tip; all you have to do is twist the bottom of the pen a few times until you see the color emerge onto the brush, and your good. It’s definitely a keeper! The Lip Savvy lip gloss collection is available via www.belipsavvy.com or www.jeanecosmetics.com
