September 25th is World Dream Day. Close your eyes and think back to your childhood, a time when nothing felt impossible and you truly believed you could do anything. Do you still have that strong blind belief in yourself and your dreams like you did back then?
OnePoll conducted a survey of 2,000 Americans for Zety, a resume-builder service. The results revealed that 67 percent of adults don’t have the job they wanted as children. Among those respondents, 58 percent said they felt bad that they didn’t pursue those goals. Additionally, 82 percent reported not working toward their dreams at all as an adult.
Transition coach Charlene Ridley is looking to change those numbers by helping adults unpause their dreams. She has created a successful business helping people realize their dreams and step into them seamlessly.
Ridley is the queen of recreating her life and as a dream coach she helps others gain clarity, create a plan, and take immediate action to bring their dreams to fruition. She truly believes that we can unpause our dreams if we put doubts and fears out of our minds and focus on the goals ahead. She has coached hundreds of people and has a passion for helping people win and live the lives of their dreams.
I believe Sheryl Lee Ralph said it best during her recent Emmy acceptance speech,
“To anyone who has ever had a dream and thought your dream wasn’t, wouldn’t, couldn’t come true, I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like. This is what striving looks like and don’t you ever, ever give up on you.”
