R&B superstar Beyoncé Knowles and her personal trainer Marco Borges just announced that they’re partnering to launch the 22 Days Nutrition plant-based home delivery meal service. “I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example,” Beyoncé says about her new venture. “All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited to partner with him.” Beyoncé herself has dabbled in veganism before. She and her husband Jay-Z famously adopted the diet for 22 days in the winter of 2013, and has since made more of an effort to include more plant-based foods in her diet. The meals are 100% plant-based, non-GMO, gluten free, cruelty free, soy free and dairy free. Sample dishes include: Hearty Nut Granola or Almond Berry Loaf for breakfast, Southern Black Beans and Vegetables, Curried Indian Cauliflower and Sweet Potato Bowl with Quinoa, or Ratatouille Pasta with Pesto are some lunch or dinner options. The full 22-day regimen, which includes three square meals a day delivered (all at once) to your front door, is $609.84. But for those on a strict budget, less expensive options are offered as well. The company is called 22 Days Nutrition, named after the belief that it takes 21 days to break a bad habit, and on Day 22, “you’ve found your way.” Available in three plans (1 Meal A Day-lunch or dinner, 2 Meals A Day-lunch and dinner or 3 Meals A Day-breakfast, lunch and dinner), the prices range from $9.76 to $16.50 per meal, depending on how many you buy. “We believe in the idea of embracing great foods, not avoiding bad ones,” the company said in a statement. “And that dedication can taste like decadence.” The 22 Days Nutrition Service launches officially on February 13.
