5 Vitamin-packed Smoothies You’ve Gotta Try

Ladies, it’s time to break out your blenders!  We all love occasionally grinding up a good cocktail or a strawberry daiquiri, but the blended drink your body really needs is a smoothie. Thanks to healthy recipe shows like The Domestic Greek on YouTube, you can find recipes filled with healthy fruits and vegetables to keep our bodies happy. I must admit, as a picky eater, I use most of these recipes to make sure I get my essential nutrients. However, every “bronze queen” can benefit from these as well. As women, we are constantly on our feet; so busy taking care of others that we often forget to take care of ourselves. It’s imperative to maintain a healthy diet, but sometimes it can be incredibly difficult. We need to make sure each meal is packed with the nutrients we need to get through the day. Smoothies are becoming a very popular detox option for women who want to get their bodies back on track. Below are some quick and easy possibilities. Yellow Smoothie:
½ cup pineapple juice, ½ cup Greek yogurt, ½ cup frozen pineapple, diced, ½ cup frozen mango, 1 banana, chopped, 1 tsp grated ginger

Orange Smoothie:
¼ cup orange juice, ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 small orange, peeled and frozen, ½ peach, peeled and diced, 1 carrot, grated

Red Smoothie:
¼ cup almond milk, ½ cup Greek yogurt,
½ cup frozen raspberries, ½ cup frozen strawberries, ½ cup frozen watermelon

Purple Smoothie:
½ cup pomegranate juice, ½ vanilla Greek yogurt, ½ cup frozen blackberries, ½ cup frozen blueberries, ¼ cup cherries, pitted

Green Smoothie:
½ cup orange juice, ½ vanilla Greek yogurt, ½ avocado, peeled, 2 kiwis, peeled, 1 handful of baby spinach

Every major vitamin and mineral is present within these recipes, which means they’ll help with hair growth and repair, clearing skin,  providing energy boosts, and even reducing wrinkles (although we don’t really have to worry about that!) all your troubles are taken care of! An important tip to leave you with: Always try to get the vitamins and minerals from your food. Supplements seem like the better option because they can help you achieve your daily percentage quickly,however, obtaining them through natural fruits and vegetables is easier than you think. If you do your research, you’ll find that it isn’t difficult to find foods that easily nourish the body. Just look at the recipes above!
