4 Black Panther Inspired Beauty Looks to Rock this Spring

By Unique Ratcliff

One month after its debut, Black Panther is still one of the most highly anticipated films of 2018. The film managed to leave the box office ablaze not just for its impeccable cinematography, but also for its fashion and beauty statements. Social media charged moviegoers to show up to their local theaters wearing tribal makeup, brightly colored patterns, and fur. The bright lipstick hues and tribal markings left most women ready to channel their inner Nakia for the rest of the work week. Princess Shuri’s tribal marks may not be the best eye look to rock for everyday purposes, but the cast showcased a few beauty looks that you can wear outside of Wakanda.

Smokey eye and bold liner

Spring is all about electrifying colors and bright hues. A smokey eye may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about spring, but adding a pop of color will change all of that. The reverse cat eye liner that Gurira is wearing brings color back into the look.

Glitter & Blues

Lupita Nyong’o takes the traditional blue eyeshadow and dark lip combination to the next level. Adding glitter to any makeup look puts the focus right on the eyes. Nyong’o does this effortlessly by adding a layer of glitter into her creases.

Dramatic Lashes

A great pair of eyelashes can add life to any makeup look. Sydelle Noel’s bold choice of lashes allows her to skip out on eyeshadow. Adding a clear gloss and a sweep of blush creates a natural feel. This is a perfect everyday makeup look.

A Perfect Foundation

Angela Bassett stole the show with her bold jumpsuit and accessories. Her choice of wear left little room for a dramatic makeup look. Instead of her makeup matching the same tempo of her outfit, Bassett’s makeup artist focused on her foundation, eyebrows, and lips. Creating a natural makeup look works well with bold fashion statement pieces.
