14 Life Hacks Every Bronze Girl Should Know

Who doesn’t love life hacks? There are some great strategies/techniques that can help us make perform daily activities more efficiently. Here are some life hacks that I think every Bronze girl should know.

-For those pairs of shoes that can’t stand up to the rain, use beeswax to waterproof them.

-Get rid of armpit stains with a mixture of peroxide and dish soap. Apply it before you wash your clothes.

-In order to make your lipstick last longer: apply your lipstick, then blot down with a tissue, then powder the entire area, and finally add another layer of your lipstick.

-If you love painting your nails white, use toothpaste to whiten yellowing nails.

-Here are some ways to open a stuck bottle of nail polish:

  1. Wrap a rubber band around the cap to keep your fingers from slipping. The rubber band causes friction and will allow you to get the bottle open.
  2. If that doesn’t work, maybe nail polish got onto the neck and dried. So you want to dissolve it with nail polish thinner (not acetone or nail polish remover because that can ruin your nail polish). Just lay the bottle down on its side and place about five drops of nail polish thinner into the crack between the cap and the bottle. Then turn the bottle upside down to get the thinner into the cap. The cap should be easier to twist off.
  3. If you don’t have nail polish thinner, you can soften the dries nail polish with hot water. Fill a cup or bowl with hot water. Hold the nail polish upside down and dip the cap into the water (try to get only the cap in the water. After 3 to five minutes in the water, the cap should come off easily.

-It can be difficult to store bobby pins, they get lost so easily. If you want to stop losing so many bobby pins, transform a tic tac case into your bobby pin case. After you’ve finished the tic tacs, simply remove the label/sticker and separate the lid and bottom half. To make it look better you can paint and decorate it to your liking, and once it has dried fill it with your bobby pins.

-Break in your flats with socks and a blow dryer. Put on thick socks, then put on your flats. Blow dry your flats around the tight areas for a few minutes. Keep your socks and flats on while they cool. When you’re done, test them and repeat if necessary.

-Use a pumice stone to de-fuzz a sweater.

-If you have stained your clothes with red wine, just pour some white wine over the stain because white wine neutralizes red wine stains.

-To prevent your white wine from being watered down, chill it with frozen grapes.

-Add a bit of cornstarch to glossy nail polish to give it a matte finish.

-To make your glossy lipstick look matte, dab on some concealer before applying your lipstick.

-To get the most out of your mascara, place it in your bra for a few minutes. The warmth will make it curl you lashes so much better.

-To lighten and/or brighten your favorite nail polish color use white nail polish as a base coat.

-To make your glitter nails easy to remove, use Elmer’s glue as a base coat. This allows your manicure to be easily peeled off.

You know… that’s a pretty good idea; using glue on your nails so they will peel easier. I have wondered about that a lot! It’s good to know that I’m not the only one and that it works! Thanks for the tips.
