Coachella! Is there really much more that needs to be said?!?!? From Coachella, the MTV Awards, the BET Awards, and the Grammys, women are clearly making their presence known. Women are now ruling the music industry more than ever. A few other areas of domination include entertainment, media, and television sectors of business. If you don’t believe me, then try asking Google! For a quick moment, conduct a Google search of top artists within the music industry. I guarantee that artists such as Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, Halsey, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, SZA, Demi Lovato, and Pink will appear at the top of the charts.
To date, millions of fans, viewers, and listeners are still raving over Beyoncé’s performance at Coachella. Are we surprised? Absolutely not! This isn’t the first time that such a buzz has been generated around Beyoncé and other female artists of a similar power stature, and it will not be the last. So, you might want to get yourself accustomed to this! Some of these other women are Teyana Taylor, Cardi B, Chelsea Cutler, TYSM, Astrid S., and Chrisette Michelle. Iconic female artists such as Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Paula Abdul, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Mary J. Blige and plenty more have helped to pave the way for the younger generation of artists. These icons are also simultaneously growing their own foundation at award shows such as those mentioned before. Tides have fortunately begun to move a different way. Educating others in the facet of music and becoming closer towards dominating the music industry has become so surreal. A female artist to refer to as an example of this would be Cardi B. . Simply tapping into her story and following will allow you to fully understand.
Simply put, a complete infiltration into the music scene has occurred. There has also been an influx of a multitude of music genres which millions of listeners can relate. Music festivals are not the only platforms where women are capturing awareness while also gaining earned recognition of their showcased talents. There is a variety of female artists who are known to put on classic and memorable performances at the AMA Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, MTV Awards, Rock and Roll Awards, BET Awards, Soul Train Music Awards, and other award shows. Bottom line is, women identified as being both powerful and influential top solo artists have fortunately demanded change within the music industry. In turn, this has played such a significant role in their status today. These female artists have not only recognized the inspiration in what they do, but they have also taken a stance towards encouraging others to do the same.
